Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Trippé app (“Trippé”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to match exactly what the app does — nothing more.
Trippé is operated by Moe Morad. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
The short version
- We collect only what the app needs to plan trips for you, sign you in, and understand how the app is used.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data or share it with data brokers.
- You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
What we collect and why
The table below lists every category of data Trippé collects, matched to the categories Apple shows on the App Store. Everything here is linked to your account or device and is used only for the purposes listed. None of it is used for tracking.
| Data we collect | What it is | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Your first/last name, if you choose to share it when you sign in with Apple | To personalize your account (App Functionality) |
| Email address | The email associated with your Apple sign-in | To create and secure your account (App Functionality) |
| Coarse location | An approximate, low-resolution location — requested only when you ask us to price flights from near you | To find your nearest airport so we can estimate flight prices (App Functionality) |
| Trip descriptions and preferences | The free-text and choices you enter to describe the trip you want | To generate travel recommendations for you, and to understand which kinds of requests the app serves well (App Functionality and Analytics) |
| Account identifier | The user ID assigned to your account when you sign in | To associate your saved data with you (App Functionality) |
| Device identifier | A random identifier generated on your device | To operate the service and to measure app usage (App Functionality and Analytics) |
| Product interaction | Which screens you open, actions you take, and whether a recommendation was useful | To understand how the app is used and improve it (Analytics) |
We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, photos, health or fitness data, financial or payment information, browsing history, messages, audio recordings, or any of the other categories on Apple’s list.
About payments
If Trippé offers optional in-app purchases (for example, a tip), those payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment card or banking details.
About location, specifically
Location is used once, on demand, and only approximately — when you want flight prices estimated from where you are. We ask the system for a low-resolution location, use it to look up the nearest airport, and do not store your coordinates or track your movements.
How your information is used
We use the information above only to:
- Run the app — sign you in, save your trips, generate recommendations, estimate flight prices and weather, and show destination images.
- Understand and improve the app — measure which features are used and whether recommendations are helpful, so we can make the app better.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiles, or any form of cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Who we share it with
To provide the app’s features, limited data is processed by the service providers below. Each receives only what it needs for its function, and none is permitted to use your data for its own advertising.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple provides your account credentials, name, and email.
- Our hosting and database provider — stores your account, saved trips, and the usage data described above on our behalf.
- Language-processing providers — the trip description you enter is sent to third-party services that turn it into travel recommendations. We send only what is needed to generate your results.
- Travel-pricing providers — destination and date information is sent to flight-pricing services to estimate fares. Your identity is not sent.
- Weather providers — destination coordinates are sent to weather services to show a forecast. Your location is not sent.
- Image providers — destination names are sent to photo services to show pictures of places. No personal data is sent.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety and rights of users, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → delete your account); doing so removes your account and associated data from our systems. You can also request deletion by contacting us at [email protected].
Usage and analytics data is retained only as long as needed to understand and improve the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app account deletion or contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
- If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR): our legal bases for processing are performing the service you request (contract) and our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
Trippé is safe for anyone to use, including children. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
